problems with jaws not speaking output messages in vip mud

hello,

for some reason jaws is not speaking any of the output in vip mud. but the games are working fine, i am moving and everything.

to get the messages to read i have to tab to the output box and read them with my up and down arrows, not really good if i'm in the middle of a quest or a battle and need it to speak to me what's happening with out keep tabbing round.

any ideas how to fix this?
